Pondering vexing issues in infection prevention and control

Not just talking the talk...
An article in the Dallas Morning News this week focuses on hospital infection prevention efforts at local hospitals. It points out that the Baylor Health System developed a $2 million program to supplement the incomes of physicians who do research on improving the quality of care. Since there is little funding from external agencies for this type of research, Baylor's approach is noteworthy. One of my public administration professors used to say that "an institution's budget is a statement of its values." Baylor walks the walk.
