For those of you who are really worried about swine flu, today's New York Times has an interesting article and video of Ariel Kaminer, the Arts and Leisure editor, going about the city in full personal protective equipment--a jumpsuit, mask, gowns and goggles.

During a quick read of this article, I noticed some strange advice reported to be from Dr. Thomas A. Farley, the city’s health commissioner. He said: “I don’t think the virus gets into the eyes.” - suggesting that goggles weren't needed and he noted that 'a mask' is best worn by those with a virus, not those trying to ward it off. Although, I do think you could hide a lot of PPE in Ms Kaminer's big black purse.
